Rosemary's Baby
A young wife and her actor husband take an apartment in a Manhattan building with a history, and the elderly couple next door attach themselves with herbal drinks and advice. She falls pregnant, loses weight instead of gaining it, and everyone around her agrees there is nothing wrong. Polanski shot city paranoia as domestic realism and made horror respectable for the major studios.
