Singin' in the Rain

Donen & Kelly · 1952 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

A silent-picture star and his old vaudeville partner face the arrival of sound, and the studio's problem is his leading lady, whose speaking voice cannot be put near a microphone. A young chorus girl is brought in to dub her off the books, while the star falls for her. Silent pictures learning to talk, in the most durable comedy the studio system produced.
