The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Three men in the southwest during the Civil War each hold part of what is needed to find a strongbox of Confederate gold buried in a military cemetery: one the name on the grave, one the name of the cemetery, one the will to keep the others alive. Their pursuit runs through prison camps and a bridge both armies are dying for. The three-way standoff, cut to Morricone, is the western's most imitated sequence.
