The Green Mile
In a Louisiana death-row block in 1935 the head guard passes blood and can barely walk, until an enormous condemned labourer convicted of killing two white girls takes his hands and gives something back. A sadistic new guard on the wing makes the executions worse than they need to be. Darabont's second Stephen King prison adaptation, told in flashback by the guard as a very old man.
