Dead Man Walking

Tim Robbins · 1995 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

A nun working in a New Orleans housing project answers a letter from a Louisiana death-row inmate convicted with an accomplice of killing two teenagers, and becomes his spiritual adviser through the last appeals. She sits with the victims' parents as well, and neither side lets her off. Robbins gives the murders in full and refuses to make the condemned man sympathetic, which is what keeps the argument honest.
