The Incredibles
Brad Bird · 2004 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary
Lawsuits drive the costumed heroes into a relocation scheme, and fifteen years later the strongest of them sits at an insurance desk, sneaking out at night with an old friend to listen to police scanners. A message from an unnamed island offers him work fighting a robot, and his wife finds the repaired suit before she finds the flight plan. Bird gave Pixar its first fully human cast and its case against mediocrity.
