The Wizard of Oz

A Kansas farm girl and her dog are carried off by a cyclone and set down in a country of color, where the house lands on a witch. Told that a wizard in the Emerald City can send her home, she takes the yellow brick road with a scarecrow, a tin man and a lion, watched by the dead witch's sister. The American children's myth of home, borrowed by every quest since.
