Trainspotting

Danny Boyle · 1996 CE · Film · English · Contemporary

A group of Edinburgh friends inject heroin, steal to pay for it, and take turns at quitting; a baby is left to die in the squat while the adults are high, and one of them is a violent drunk who will start a fight anywhere. A move to London and a bag of stolen powder set up the last account. Boyle's cutting and jukebox scoring made it the defining British release of the mid-nineties.
