All That Jazz
Joe Gideon starts each morning with pills, eyedrops and Vivaldi, then splits the day between cutting a stand-up comic's picture and staging a Broadway musical he has no ideas for. Dancers, ex-wife, daughter and girlfriend each get a portion of him, and a woman in white waits in a room where he rehearses his own life. Fosse turned his heart attack into a musical of self-judgement two years after it happened.
