Apocalypse Now

Francis Ford Coppola · 1979 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

An army captain waiting in a Saigon hotel is given orders to take a patrol boat up a river into Cambodia and terminate a decorated colonel who has gone renegade with an army of his own. The trip upstream takes him past a surf-obsessed air cavalry raid, a USO show in the jungle, and a bridge nobody appears to command. Conrad's river relocated to the Vietnam War; a voyage upstream into the heart of human darkness.
