Being John Malkovich

Spike Jonze · 1999 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

An unemployed puppeteer takes filing work on the low-ceilinged seven-and-a-halfth floor of a Manhattan office block and finds a small door behind a cabinet that drops whoever crawls in into the head of a well-known actor for fifteen minutes. He starts selling tickets, and his wife and his colleague both want longer. Charlie Kaufman's first produced screenplay, and the beginning of his run of premise-driven work.
