Forrest Gump

Robert Zemeckis · 1994 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

Waiting at a Savannah bus stop, an Alabama man with leg braces and a low IQ tells strangers how he stumbled into college football, Vietnam and a shrimping boat, always circling back to the girl who told him to run. Three decades of upheaval pass through a narrator who registers little of it. Digital compositing placed him inside archival footage, an effects landmark used for invisible forgery rather than spectacle.
