No Country for Old Men

Ethan Coen, Joel Coen · 2007 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

A welder out hunting antelope in the West Texas brush finds shot-up trucks, a wounded man asking for water and a case holding two million dollars. He takes it, goes back that night with a jug, and by morning is being followed by a man with a cattle gun and no interest in negotiation, while the county sheriff reads the scene days behind. The Coens' McCarthy adaptation took best picture and gave the screen an implacable new killer.
