There Will Be Blood

Paul Thomas Anderson · 2007 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

A silver prospector working alone in a California hole climbs out with a broken leg and a claim, and turns himself into an oil man who arrives in each new town with an adopted son and a speech about family. A tip takes him to a ranch above a seep, where the seller's twin brother is raising a church and wants the derrick money. Anderson's film, loosely taken from Upton Sinclair, is the decade's most argued-over American picture.
