Philadelphia

Jonathan Demme · 1993 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

A senior associate at a corporate law practice is dismissed for incompetence weeks after lesions appear on his forehead, and the only attorney who will take his wrongful-termination suit is a small-time injury lawyer frightened of catching what he has. The case pushes both men into open court and into each other's houses. The first major studio production to put AIDS and anti-gay discrimination at its center.
