The Hurricane

Norman Jewison · 1999 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

A middleweight contender is convicted with another man of three killings in a Paterson bar in 1966 and writes his way through nineteen years of it; a Brooklyn teenager living with Canadian teachers finds the book in a used bin and starts a correspondence. They move to New Jersey to work the record. Denzel Washington carried a treatment critics faulted for inventing where the record was inconvenient.
