The Silence of the Lambs

Jonathan Demme · 1991 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

A trainee at the FBI academy is sent to interview an imprisoned psychiatrist and cannibal in the hope that he will say something useful about a killer taking the skin from women in the Midwest. He trades what he knows for what she will tell him about her childhood on a Montana ranch. Demme's picture swept the top five Academy Awards and set the pattern for a generation of serial-killer stories.
