Pinocchio

Hamilton Luske & Ben Sharpsteen · 1940 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

A woodcarver wishes on a star for the marionette he has just finished, a blue fairy grants it on condition the boy prove himself, and a cricket is appointed to do the work of a conscience he does not yet have. A fox and a cat sell him to a puppet showman and then to a coachman running excursions to Pleasure Island. The multiplane camera work and the underwater sequences remain the studio's most technically ambitious animation.
