Shoplifters
A household in Tokyo lives off a pension, casual work and small thefts run by a man and the boy he has trained, and coming home one freezing night they take in a five-year-old they find on a balcony. She has burn scars, and nobody reports her missing. Kore-eda asking what makes a family, and answering in a way that keeps changing as you learn how these people met.
