Sky of History
A peasant who joins a guerrilla force rises through the ranks of the Communist army across the anti-Japanese war and the civil war that follows. His loyalty is tested by rivals inside his own side as much as by the enemy. A prize-winning example of the Chinese military-historical novel, it was adapted into a popular television series.
