The Admirable Crichton
An earl who plays at equality once a month keeps a butler who believes firmly in rank, and takes his household on a yacht cruise to the Pacific. Wrecked on an island, the party discovers within two years which of them can actually feed the rest, and the order of precedence reverses itself completely. Barrie's most pointed comedy tests English class against the one authority it cannot argue with.
