Dear Brutus
A houseful of guests who each believe their lives went wrong through bad luck are invited by a very old host into a wood that appears on Midsummer Eve only. Inside it they are given the second chance they have been asking for, in the shape of the life they insist they should have had. Barrie wrote it during the war, and Cassius's line to Brutus about the fault lying not in our stars supplies both the title and the verdict.
