The Little Mermaid

Ron Clements, John Musker · 1989 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

The youngest daughter of the sea king hoards human objects in a grotto against her father's orders and surfaces to watch a passing ship, and after pulling a prince out of the water she signs her voice away to a sea witch in exchange for three days with legs. On land she has to win him without a word to work with. Disney's return to the fairy tale with Broadway songwriting began the studio's commercial revival.
