True Grit

Henry Hathaway · 1969 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

A fourteen-year-old Arkansas girl whose father has been shot by a hired hand hires the meanest deputy marshal she can find and insists on riding into the Indian Territory beside him. A Texas Ranger wants the same man for a killing in another state, and the three argue their way across the country after him. Wayne won his only Academy Award playing a drunk with a patch over one eye.
