Ben, in the World

Doris Lessing · 2000 CE · Novel · English · Contemporary

Ben, the feral and half-human child of an English family, is now eighteen and alone, drifting from London into the care and use of people who see in him labour, a curiosity or a commodity. His journey takes him across Europe and into South America. Lessing wrote it as the sequel to The Fifth Child, thirteen years after that book.
