Blandings Castle

P. G. Wodehouse · 1935 CE · Short Story · English · Modernist

Twelve stories, six of them at Blandings, where Lord Emsworth is beset by a managing sister, a head gardener he dare not cross, a nephew in disgrace, and the prize sow that is the one thing in the world he loves. The remainder follow the nephews of the club raconteur Mr Mulliner into the Hollywood studios of the early sound era. The idyll at its most concentrated, and the volume that made the Empress a fixture of the saga.
