Deliverance

John Boorman · 1972 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

Four Atlanta businessmen canoe a Georgia river due to be dammed into a lake, on a weekend arranged by the one of them who talks about survival. On the second morning two of the party are separated on the bank, held at gunpoint by two men out of the woods, and one of them is raped. Boorman shot the rapids without doubles, and the banjo duet at the trailhead entered the culture on its own.
