The Cameraman

Edward Sedgwick & Buster Keaton · 1928 CE · Film · Modern / American · Modernist

A tintype photographer trades his camera for a battered newsreel rig to be near a girl in the MGM newsroom, and brings back an empty parade, a double-exposed street and a Tong war in Chinatown that nobody believes he shot. The changing room shared with a large stranger and the one-man ballgame in an empty stadium turn on timing never repeated. Keaton's first job under studio contract, and the last he really controlled.
