The Crying Game

Neil Jordan · 1992 CE · Film · English · Contemporary

An IRA unit holds a British soldier at a hideout in Northern Ireland, and the volunteer set to guard him spends the days talking to him about the woman whose photograph he carries. When the operation goes wrong he crosses to London to find her and starts drinking at the bar where she sings. Jordan's sleeper hit was sustained by audiences agreeing among themselves not to discuss the second half.
