The Sandlot
David Mickey Evans · 1993 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary
A boy who has just moved to a San Fernando Valley suburb in 1962 is taken into a neighbourhood ball game he does not know how to play, and a borrowed signed baseball goes over the fence into the yard of a dog the others have built into a monster. Recovering it becomes the summer's whole campaign. Narrated in adult retrospect, it became a durable television perennial rather than a hit on release.
