Fantastic Mr Fox
Three farmers, one fat, one short and one lean, sit all night at the mouth of a hill with shotguns across their knees, waiting out the fox who has been taking their chickens, ducks and cider. When waiting fails they bring mechanical shovels and take the hill apart, and the fox's family is starving underground while he thinks. Dahl drew it from the country around his own Buckinghamshire house.
