I heard a Fly buzz - when I died
The room is still between the heaves of storm, the eyes around have cried themselves dry, the watchers are braced for the last onset when the King is to be witnessed, and the speaker has signed away what portion of her is assignable. Then a fly interposes, with a blue uncertain stumbling buzz, between the light and her. The flattest and most disputed of the deathbed poems, printed in the third posthumous series with the dashes smoothed away.
