A Clockwork Orange

Stanley Kubrick · 1971 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

A teenage gang leader in a near-future Britain spends his nights on assault, robbery and a house invasion, and his days playing Beethoven in a bedroom his parents no longer enter. Jailed, he volunteers for a government conditioning programme that pairs films of violence with a nausea drug. Rated X and then pulled from British release by Kubrick himself after copycat attacks, it stayed unavailable there for decades.
