Finn Family Moomintroll
Waking from their winter sleep, two young trolls find a black top hat on a mountain and carry it home, where eggshells dropped inside come out as clouds and a word left in it turns into a small animal. A valley summer follows, with a Hemulen who has finished his stamp collection and two whispering refugees with a locked suitcase, while a hobgoblin hunts the ruby he lost. Jansson's third Moomin book was the first to reach English.
