Notorious

Alfred Hitchcock · 1946 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

The daughter of a convicted Nazi agent is recruited in Miami by a government man who has been listening to her parties on a wire, and sent to Rio to work into a circle of German exiles. The assignment turns out to mean marrying one of them, and her handler lets her take it without a word. Hitchcock picked uranium ore for the MacGuffin months before Hiroshima and said he was watched for it.
