North by Northwest

Alfred Hitchcock · 1959 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

A Manhattan advertising man raises his hand for a bellboy in a hotel bar and is taken by two men who believe he is a government agent who does not exist. Framed for a murder at the United Nations, he runs west by train with a woman who knows more than she says, toward a crop-duster over open farmland and a house above Mount Rushmore. Hitchcock's lightest chase picture set the template every spy series works from.
