The Birds

Alfred Hitchcock · 1963 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

A San Francisco socialite drives up the coast with a pair of lovebirds for a man she is flirting with, and gulls start striking people in the small bay town where he lives. The attacks escalate from one cut forehead to a schoolyard, a petrol station and a boarded farmhouse. Hitchcock used no score at all, only electronically generated bird noise, over hundreds of composited optical shots.
