Rear Window
Alfred Hitchcock · 1954 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary
A magazine photographer with a leg in plaster passes a Greenwich Village heat wave watching the courtyard: a songwriter, a dancer, newlyweds, a woman who lays the table for nobody, and a salesman whose invalid wife stops appearing. His fiancée and his nurse humour him until the salesman starts cleaning a knife and roping a trunk. Hitchcock built the block on one Paramount stage and shot every exterior from the window.
