Blow-Up
Julio Cortázar · 1959 CE · Short Story · Latin American · Contemporary
A Franco-Chilean translator who photographs Paris on Sunday mornings finds, on the tip of the Île Saint-Louis, a boy of about fifteen being talked to by a blonde woman, and raises the camera. She demands the film, the boy bolts, and he goes home, enlarges the negative and pins it on the wall facing his typewriter. Told by a narrator who cannot settle on saying I or he; Antonioni took its premise in 1966.
