Roman Holiday

William Wyler · 1953 CE · Film · Modern / American · Contemporary

A crown princess on a state tour of European capitals is given a sedative, climbs out of the embassy window and falls asleep on a wall, where an American wire-service reporter picks her up without knowing who she is. Once he works it out he proposes a day around Rome with a photographer in tow and an exclusive at the end. Dalton Trumbo wrote it on the blacklist under a front's name and waited forty years for credit.
