Birches
Bent left and right across straighter darker trees, the birches look like the work of a boy swinging them, though the speaker knows it was the ice storms that loaded and cracked them. He remembers being such a swinger himself, climbing to the top and kicking out to ride the trunk down, and would like to go that way again when he is weary of considerations. Frost's clearest defence of a truth he prefers to send a boy to fetch.
