You Must Set Forth at Dawn
Wole Soyinka · 2006 CE · Narrative Non-fiction · Nigerian · Contemporary
Soyinka recounts his adult years: his imprisonment during the Nigerian civil war, his work in the opposition, and his flight into exile under General Abacha. The return to Nigeria after the dictator's death closes the account. It is the fourth of his memoirs, following Ake, Isara and Ibadan, none of which is held here.
